Questions

Owner-operator FAQ

Do I run under my own authority or yours?

Owner-operators run under Onway’s authority. You keep ownership of your truck and your business; we provide the freight, dispatch, and back-office support.

What are the lanes like?

Our core freight moves in and out of California — Texas, Florida, the East Coast, and the Midwest. Dispatch plans your next load before the current one delivers.

Can I rent a trailer from Onway?

Yes. We offer Cottrell trailer rentals, and you can move to a lease-to-own arrangement when the revenue supports it.

How does pay work?

You are paid a percentage on the loads you run, released through Quick Pay within two business days of complete paperwork. Your recruiter will show real settlement examples.
