For private customers

Ship your vehicle, direct with the carrier

Open or enclosed, door-to-door across the lower 48. One company owns the truck, the timeline, and the answer when you call.

How it works

Four steps, start to finish

  1. Step 01

    Request a quote

Send pickup, delivery, and vehicle details. We reply the same business day.

  2. Step 02

    Book your dates

Confirm the price and a pickup window with a real coordinator.

  3. Step 03

    Pickup

An Onway driver inspects and loads your vehicle at the origin.

  4. Step 04

    Delivery

Door-to-door drop-off, inspected again on arrival.

Choosing a trailer

Open or enclosed

  • Open transport

The standard choice. Your vehicle rides on an open Cottrell trailer alongside others. Faster to schedule and the most cost-effective option for most cars and trucks.

  • Enclosed transport

A covered trailer that shields the vehicle from weather and road debris. The right call for classic, luxury, low-clearance, or high-value vehicles.

Questions

Shipping FAQ

How is my price calculated?

Price depends on the route, distance, vehicle size and condition, open vs enclosed transport, and how soon you need it. Because you book directly with the carrier, the price we quote is the price you pay.

Do you ship non-running vehicles?

Yes, as long as the vehicle rolls, brakes, and steers. Mark it as non-running on the quote form so we assign a truck with a winch.

Is my vehicle insured in transit?

Yes. Onway is FMCSA-licensed and carries cargo insurance. Your vehicle is inspected at pickup and again at delivery, and the condition report is shared with you.

How far in advance should I book?

Three to seven days is comfortable for most lanes. We can often accommodate shorter notice on our core California corridors — call us to check.
